Chicago Redux

We picked up Ric and Sharon at Midway Airport about noon on Friday. We drove into downtown on the expressway, and had a great drive up Lakeshore Drive, enjoying the wonderful downtown views and parks along Lake Michigan. They really did get it right with their downtown. We were searching north of downtown for a hamburger place that I had read about, Jury's, and using Ric's Microsoft's Streets program, finally found it near Wrigley Field. Notice the banner on the front of the building referring to the same book I had read. The food was great by the way.

And, after eating, we of course had to stop by THE baseball field and snap a few pictures. Yes, it is on my list to go to a game there some day.

One of Ric and Sharon's goals was to find the house they had lived in when they went to dental school. In fact, we drove by the Northwestern Dental School building, which was right on Lake Michigan, and also found their house and church building. I could tell it was an emotional experience for them, as it was their first time back after all these years. A lot of water under the bridge.

I had the chance to see a game at The Friendly Confines a few years ago and it was amazing! Cubs fan or not, baseball fan or not, Wrigley is something that everyone needs to do.

Hope you all are doing great! I've enjoyed keeping up with on your blog!
