What a Waste!

I was searching for a lost pen under my office desk the other day and I was kind of shocked to see a maze somewhat like the one in the cartoon. I believe there are four power strips under there. And I seldom turn off most of the things that are plugged into those strips. In fact, I am sure all of that humming equipment heats the room up 4 or 5 degrees higher than the rest of the basement. In this computer age, with a country as big and computerized as the United States, think of the energy being consumed by all of that technology when not even in use - comsumption that didn't even exist just a few decades ago.  

Especially For KT

Saw this in a shop on one of our recent trips. Thought KT might want to see a scary clown for old times' sake. And one removing its head, no less.

 

Emmett's Soccer Games

One of the many nice things about living in the same town as some of your grandchildren is the opportunity to attend their sports activities. Emmett is a good little athlete and we have enjoyed watching him play baseball and soccer. This particular afternoon, he was able to be goalie and did a great job.
