2007 Husband of the Year

It is time for my children to vote on the 2007 Husband of the Year. This is a fair, unbiased look at husbanding, and I want you all to know there is no pressure to vote for anyone (me) in particular.

This year's candidates are as follows, with their corresponding pictures in the same order...please vote in the comments section.

1. Tony Bender (Newark, New Jersey)

2. Doug Miller (Asheville, North Carolina)
3. Bob Collins (Sacramento, California)
4. Aleksandar Pekic (Belgrade, Serbia)
5. Your Father, With Your Mother
6. Draigen Cullen (Belfast, Ireland)
7. Achille Marangoudakis (Athens, Greece)

Family Picture

We had a family picture taken this last summer and finally recently received the final product. It was the featured picture in our Christmas cards, but I wanted to make it part of the record. We were very happy with the results.

Cute Kids

Amy had some family pics taken (and some of us know the identity of her personal photographer) and I thought I would share two with you (I have the cutest and smartest grandchildren around...smiling). Does that statement exhibit a hint of bias? OK... OK....all of your grandchildren are also extremely smart and cute.

Seattle Interlude

KR and I headed over to Seattle on Friday to watch Ella in one of her Christmas performances with the Seattle Children's Choir (Saturday evening). The Choir has several age groups and Ella is in the youngest. All of the choirs performed individually and then together. They had some very professional musicians to accompany them and it was a nice evening. On Saturday before Ella's coming out, we volunteered to take Noah for a haircut, and after searching forever for one that wasn't packed (perhaps we found out why), we succeeded in getting him into a barber chair. He was okay at first, but as time went on, he got more and more agitated with the whole process. His head turning in all directions as he screamed may have influenced what Cher later described as a "disastercut". Maybe she will not be letting us take him for any haircuts in the near future.

Ella showing no signs of pre-performance jitters. The outfit is what here entire group wore and has the logo of the Choir. (December 14-15)
