Bruneau Dunes - Bucket List Alert

On the return home from one of my many trips to Utah this year, KT and I made a detour to Bruneau Dunes in Idaho and did a quick climb of one of the big ones. The sand was so hot we had to return to the car and change our shoes. She carried up her snowboard and used it for the descent. It worked! Move an item off the bucket list.

Another Summer Project

I came home from being away to find that we had another (surprise) project started in our household. I had no idea she was planning this. It will be another 9 months until I see her teeth again (she is on the fast\painful track she tells me).

Summer Projects

Summer is the time for projects and this year was no exception. In fact, it took up most of the summer. We finally got the moldings put in around the ceiling in the upper floor - including all the bedrooms, bathrooms, and hallways. It turned out fantastic - better than we imagined! And we also finally got the pillars covered on the front porch. The new stairs in the garage are much more solid. Isn't it nice to get things off the "to do" list.

Kids Are So Smart

I was hauling Emmett somewhere in the back seat of my car and I was telling him about something that happened in conjunction with another event (which we adults might consider somewhat of a coincidence). There was silence for a second and he blurted out, "That sure was a coincidence". I praised him for the correct use of such a big word and he further explained that "my mommy teached me that one".

Independence Day

We had a fun evening at Mark & Laurel's for the 4th. The twins were in fine form and the moon was spectacular! Emmett had some special 3-D glasses designed for watching fireworks.
