Park City Live

Boise Live changed to Park City Live this year (August 28-29). There was a little apprehension about the move, but I think all will agree that it was a hit. Kudos to Ryan and all that helped make it such a nice male-bonding weekend. Some pics: 1) Heisman Rod, 2) watching the action, 3) saying goodbye, and 4) until 2010!

Merrill Reunion

It seems like it was KR's month, as it was our turn to do the organizing for the Merrill Reunion (August 19-22), which we hold every other year. As it was her side of the family, she did most of the work and, by all accounts, the reunion was a great success and came off without a hitch. Good weather, good food, good activities, and good company. The family is growing!

KT, The Teacher

KT was a Primary Teacher this summer while she was home with us. This picture is just too cute not to post.

Clothing Exchange

KR's other big August extravaganza was being in charge of our Church's annual clothing exchange. It also was (again) a great success. Kudos to the better half for all of the good things she does for other people.

Perros de Maiz (a.k.a. Pronto Pups)

Cooking a Perro de Maiz from scratch is not as simple as it may seem. Also known as corn dogs or pronto pups, every self-respecting man should know how to cook them from scratch. Basically, they are frankfurters that are traditionally placed on a stick, coated with a corn-based batter (cornmeal or cornbread), and fried or baked. By the way, if you bake them you are a wussy.

See pictures: 1) is a corn dog, 2) is a corn dog with mustard (my favorite combo), 3 ) is the inside of a corn dog, and 4) is not a corn dog, although, as a dog, it will probably eat anything, including corn.

KR Extravaganza #1 - Garage Sale

KR held her annual garage sale with the help of her daughters. It was organized to the final detail (naturally) and a huge success. She is starting to get regular customers each year. We just can't figure out where she gets enough stuff to hold it every year!
